HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE PROCEDURE?

You absolutely don’t need to prepare your hair for any of the procedures, but here are the requirements to follow:

• Wash your hair within 24 hours before the procedure and brush it thoroughly.

• Don’t use any styling products.

If you’re coming for a consultation, wash your hair with shampoo only, without using conditioner, masks, or any leave-in products. (If your hair is too damaged and you can’t brush it without conditioner, then use only conditioner and nothing else.) During the consultation, I need to see your hair’s natural structure.

Factors Affecting the Longevity of Your Hair Treatment

Initial Hair Condition

The longevity of your hair treatment largely depends on your hair’s initial condition.

If your hair was damaged by bleaching, unsuccessful chemical treatments, frequent use of straighteners, or lack of proper home care, the treatment will likely last shorter. The healthier your hair, the better and longer-lasting the results.

Home Care

Using professional-grade shampoos and conditioners is essential for maintaining your results. Many drugstore products, even those labeled “sulfate-free,” may still contain harsh chemicals that can strip treatments. Opt for salon-quality products with nourishing ingredients.

Also, avoid brushes with rubber-tipped bristles, as they can cause breakage. Instead, use gentle brushes like a Tangle Teezer or similar tools designed for reduced damage.

Cumulative Effect

Repeating treatments before the effects of the previous one completely fade can enhance results over time. Each session builds on the last, increasing the longevity of future treatments.

For example, on heavily bleached or damaged hair, the first treatment might last around three months. In contrast, healthier hair with proper aftercare can maintain results for six months or longer. Results vary based on individual hair types and care routines.

Tips for Prolonging Results

1. Trim Damaged Ends: Removing as much damaged hair as possible will improve results and help treatments last longer.

2. Invest in Professional Products: High-quality shampoos, conditioners, and masks designed for treated hair will maintain smoothness and shine.

3. Regular Restoration: Incorporate deep conditioning masks and restorative treatments into your routine to strengthen and hydrate your hair.

With proper care, you can enjoy silky, glossy, and smooth hair for much longer!
